Money Advice

The aim of debt advice is to help you stabilise your financial situation so that you can safeguard your home and your belongings, have sufficient money to feed and clothe your family and pay your debts at an affordable rate, or use other appropriate debt remedies.

The debt advice (or money advice) process is a systematic way of working to help you achieve this aim.

Helping to sort out debts can be complicated. It requires a number of activities which might take time to complete. Having a process ensures that nothing is missed. Some of the activities may happen at the same time, for example preparing a budget and checking who is liable for debts. Different people within the bureau may help you with different parts of the process.
